Pabitra’s personal mission to be a steward of the earth and has blossomed into a position of leadership amongst members of his community.

As a young member of the Mishing Tribe in Northeastern India, Pabitra was used to seeing young people migrate to larger cities for university and not return. Along with this trend, the passing down of cultural knowledge and traditions began to decline. Pabitra now leads conservation efforts, education, and eco-tourism opportunities that support local conservation and economy.
